This year the wedding season came to an end with another local wedding; as I visited the St Francis of Assissi’s Church in Shefford and the Barns in Bedford to help a lovely couple, Guido and Sarah celebrate their wedding.
I’m a regular visitor to Wrest Park near Siloe in Bedfordshire however this summer I had the change to visit there in a professional capacity. One of this year’s wedding couples, Guido and Sarah wanted to do an engagement shoot as part of their wedding package and since we all love Wrest Park it seemed to be a great place to go As part of my wedding service I always like to meet the couple at least twice prior to the wedding, so with a sunny Sunday forecast killing two birds with one stone seemed ideal.
Mid-summer, and the end of the June heat wave, brought me to Northampton for a great family wedding.
Having shot Alex and Aly’s engagement party back in March, their big day finally arrived at the end of November. So with cameras in hand I was off to the beautiful city of Ely to shoot their wedding on a cold frosty morning that turned into a fantastic clear day. Continue reading
The very last day of September brought a pleasing sunny day, a trip to the historic town of St Albans and that increasing popular event – a week day wedding. Continue reading
A warm and surprisingly sunny Saturday in August took me to the Chesterfield Downs golf club near Stevenage and the wedding of Sonja and Russell. This was a great day as I followed Sonja’s preparations from hair and make-up in the morning, through to the informal and relaxed wedding ceremony – where Abbie their daughter played a starring role as ring bearer – and then onto a chilled afternoon reception overlooking the rolling Hertfordshire countryside.
During the run up to Peter and Susan’s wedding in September 2015, I knew that Susan was working with the team at Archant to see whether she could have their wedding featured in the Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Bedfordshire Bride Magazine 2016. I discovered Susan had been successful when I found a double page spread in Bride magazine featuring my work!
Christmas is a time for families, and Lorraine and Paul were definitely putting their families first as part of their Wedding Ceremony in Hitchin’s Sun Hotel. Lorraine and Paul brought together all the people who were important to them (including flying some in from Australia) to make sure their Christmas wedding a special event. Continue reading
This was a fun little shoot! Morris and Helen had recently got married in Las Vegas and wanted to hold a small party for close friends and family, and they asked me if I’d cover the evening to give them some photos to record the event. Continue reading
It’s not often I fly to a photo shoot, however this weekend I changed my holiday plans so I could fly back to the UK for Colin and Lydia’s wedding in Hartsfield Manor deep in the Surrey countryside near Reigate. Hartsfield manor is a Victorian building set in a 16 acre estate and was a fantastic venue for both the wedding service and reception. Colin and Lydia had planned their day to ensure that everyone had a great day with a special kids room set aside and bouncy castle in the gardens, to keep the children amused and out of trouble.
