“The Gift” is the Hitchin Christian Centre’s Nativity celebration for 2013. Each year the Church runs series of 3 Nativity services I was asked to come along for a fun photo shoot after the service.
Christmas is a big celebration for any church and the Hitchin Christian Centre always work hard to make their celebration extra special, and as a way of helping their congregation remember the day and celebrate Christmas after the service they organise a fun portrait shoot.
This year the team at the Hitchin Christian Centre decorated one of their function rooms for me to use as a winter wonderland, with Christmas trees, stars and host of decorations. They even laid on the most diverse and outrageous set of Christmas hats I’ve ever seen, so that every one could dress up and get into the Christmas spirit!
The fun shoots are busy fast moving events, and with over 300 groups to get through the ability to work quickly comes into it’s own, but it’s great to be able to work with the team at the Christian Centre, who organise all of the logistics so I can concentrate on the photography.
