Mark and Christina’s wedding was another fun wedding to cover with the emphasis on the children and big red bus!
4th May 2013 Service - St Mary's Church, Henlow, Bedfordshire Reception - Biggleswade Town Football Club, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire
Mark and Christina’s wedding day started in the beautiful old church of St Mary’s in the Bedfordshire village of Henlow. I’d already been to Christina’s parent’s house to take shots of Christina and her brides maids getting ready so I was able to spend some time with Mark and grooms men before the service. Including this one, showing one of the groom’s men and his son.
I always make a point of meeting my customers before the wedding and during our meeting to review the venues Christina took me aside for a quiet word, out of Mark’s earshot to share a secret. One of Mark’s hobbies was an interest in buses, and Christina had arranged a red double-decker London bus a wedding car. With this knowledge, and with Mark in the dark, I was able to arrange Mark and Christina’s exit from the church so that at just the right moment I could, ask Mark to turn round and see his surprise.
After the service we left for Biggleswade football ground for the reception, where the bus proved to be a great prop, with everyone willing to pose on or in front of the bus. It was really nice to be in on the secret, so that I could help Christina orchestrate her surprise for her new husband.
